We have been on a bit of a break on Bsky. We are not going to lie, we are tired. Real tired. Recently, we saw someone pointing fingers and tearing down someone because they didn’t feel like that person was doing enough to inspire change or bring people together. 1/3

Hurricane season opens June 1. FEMA is largely misunderstood and this administration has done nothing but propagate that misunderstanding. And lots has changed over the past year. So we are going to spend some time unpacking that over next few weeks. 1/11

The systems and frameworks that help communities recover from disasters were built and improved over decades. This year has shown they can be hollowed out faster than that. What’s been lost will be painfully visible when it’s needed most and it is severely incapacitated or just isn’t there.
