I rendered out the entire world map in Sid Meier's Pirates Gold using ingame graphics I would upload the full image, but I'm not sure where I can upload a 10240x7680 PNG that's 78mb So there's the map zoomed out and one portion at 1:1 scale

Another reason why I dislike the push for every game to require some kind of connectivity to a server. Ubisoft servers are down right now and the Ubisoft Connect client doesn't have an offline mode you can log into, so that means you're completely locked out of your library

Here's datamining I'm 18 years late to do. There's mentions of a "Co-Op Battle" mode in the #SoulCalibur IV executable. The strings are even localized, so I think that suggests they scrapped the mode pretty late in development "Battle Theatre" is another cut feature

How about we dismantle all social media and just go back to forums. I miss forums. Remember when guides and tools were available on forums rather than hidden deep in a thread on a Discord server you can't even link stuff from? Forums were so cool.

I've had a lot of mean-spirited Youtube comments over the years, but this one pisses me off the most You might as well ask for computers to be banned because you can do illegal things with them. Modding tools are not to blame. Report mods or mod authors if they create mods featuring illegal content

I can visually imagine how the meeting went when designing this key art for Resident Evil Code Veronica remake Mr John Capcom: What's Claire's signature colour again? Mr Fred Capcom: REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED!!!!!!!!

As a non-artist I'm trying something scary: messing with the visual design in my mod manager I've added a system where the UI colours (which used to always be gray) will now change depending on the colours featured in the current game wallpaper Does this look good or bad?

Does anyone know of a good video editor that lets you trim videos and concat videos without re-encoding the video data? I guess I'm asking for a GUI wrapper for ffmpeg. I do this via command line all the time, but having it as a GUI would be nice
