Network Rail has announced that Botley Road is expected to reopen on 20 September. We welcome this clarity after a long period of disruption for residents and businesses. We’ll now look at what this means for the traffic filter trial and share the confirmed start date as soon as we can.

Oxford’s traffic filter trial starts on 14 September, replacing the temporary congestion charge. Car drivers won’t be able to pay £5 to go through the filters. Cars with permits can travel through at all times, and everywhere in Oxford will still be accessible by car.
