The man ICE shot in Austin today is named Wilber Rafael Garces Perez. Per his lawyer, she and Perez’s family were run off of hospital property where he’s being treated and won’t even confirm he’s there because he’s β€œin ICE custody.” Actual criminals.

Today, EPD responded to a sighting of federal agents at Dodge/Howard, where a US citizen was briefly detained and then released. The person was treated at St Francis hospital for minor injuries. EPD continues to investigate the situation, and we will remain vigilant about federal activities.

AUSTIN, TX - The family of the man injured in today's ICE shooting was removed from hospital property while attempting to visit him, according to his attorney. Attorney Kate Lincoln-Goldfinch said she and the man's family were denied access to see him. He remains hospitalized in the custody of ICE
