I don't want to get your hopes up if that means you won't vote (it won't), but there is a non zero chance that the GOP loses in this level of landslide because it ends up being a very low Republican turnout compared to expectations. Because many Republicans say they want to boycott the election...

Dr. Abdul El-Sayed was practically engineered to break MAGA brains. American-born (so no “go back” card), ridiculously credentialed (MD + Oxford PhD), explains policy like a normal human, and takes zero crap. And he is actually Muslim with a Muslim name unlike Obama.

Lyndon Johnson beat Barry Goldwater 61-38 percent in the national popular vote. This is what the state by state map would look like if we had a landslide on the level of LBJ in 1964 today.

Most people don't know this but Democrats had solid control of the South I'm states that have been voting Republican for president since at least 2000 until the Obama era. That is not that long ago. Which means that many voters were Democrats, even if they will never vote Democrat again.

I remember reading an article saying that "Black voters should get 5/3 of a vote because of 3/5 compromise". Here is how to have five thirds of a vote for real anyway: Only around three out of five people vote in US elections out of those who could. So by voting every election, you count 5/3 times.

If you live and are registered to vote in Wisconsin make sure to vote for Francesca Hong in the Democratic primary if you haven't already! We need a big turnout for her because the Michigan primary last week was close, so we need huge turnout for her, which she is helping with. Retweet to help us!

Even though this feels implausible, I think it could happen in 2026 if the scenario we saw in the PSC of turnout falling out happens combined with very low independent support (which we have seen in polls). It would take a perfect storm including record high oil prices.

There is a law on the books that forces Americans to pay taxes even if they leave the US. I don't think it is in practice abut stopping tax evasion because the rich manage to pay almost zero taxes. Instead it is about making it almost impossible to leave the country for most people.
