Could be the latest model 505 I’ve seen in Finnish plates. Registered new in early 1990 but French sedan production ended already in 1989.
Greetings from my Corolla’s trunk. The tailgate won’t open, so I’m trying to access the latch. Pulling from the cable or operating it manually from the inside doesn’t pop it open, so the cable has probably come undone from the latch. Central locking actuator seems to block access.
Big fan of this shape of Corolla liftback. My dad used to have one when I was a kid, so it goes without saying! This one seems to be in really neat condition.
These used to top the sales charts here for a few years and now you’d be lucky to spot one once in a blue moon. Happy to see this one still going!
I can safely say I’ve never seen a Beetle on Japan Racing wheels
I really love the way these look, especially in the orange signature colour. I should daily one.
I did a quick hit and run piece on the ID.Polo yesterday as there was a pop-up demo event in town. I came back impressed, but what I’d really like to sample is the 37kWh 115hp base car that’s available for the price that’s stickered on the door of this 52kWh, 210hp car.
Would you like to know how much car you get with the $30K Volkswagen ID. Polo, but you're not in Europe? We got a guy in Finland for that --> tinyurl.com/rj7s8pcr
I'm usually not huge on replicas but this is a less rusty red Polo with bolt-on parts from a real Harlekin. Since 6N Polos rust severely, re-creating the car with a less rusty basis makes complete sense. It's something between not-real and real. www.kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/po...

Got a call during my workday and my supervising teacher told me I had completed all necessary courses and amassed enough study credits to graduate this month, meaning my forestry studies are done. I celebrated by going to a yurt sauna and swimming in a freezing lake. One with the nature, you know.
Since I returned my orange Peugeot last month, another orange Peugeot has caught my eye. It’s a 100,000km 206 CC for sale locally, and initially it was advertised with the roof occasionally acting up, for 2650. Guy blamed a microswitch, but he seems to have fixed it as he soon doubled the price.
Imagine what life's like when you have a Lada Samara with blank switches on the dashboard. This is the Finnish-built Eurosamara/Samara Baltic, from the Valmet factory, with a swoopy dash top glued over the regular VAZ-2108 dash.
You might remember I returned my leased EV a month ago
Listened to New Gold Dream by Simple Minds today and noted how much like a Chinese EV the song name sounds like, especially since I was being followed by a BYD right at that moment. New Gold Dream (81 kWh, 82kWh, 83kWh, 84kWh)
I think this Lada 1200 embodies what I consider "good patina". It's been with the same owner from 1972 to 2025, it shows surface rust absolutely everywhere, but it's also well oiled and solid. Any restoration work on it would completely ruin the look and provenance. www.nettiauto.com/en/lada/1200...
Today’s second hand record haul. I’ve started buying CDs again.
Tiidas in metallic bronze really are my forbidden pleasure. I could absolutely see myself driving one, despite its less than stellar powertrain, but it would have to be a sedan.
Gotta say the dent on this doesn’t really jump at you in the auction pics, compared to bright daylight. I audibly blurted out ”Voi vittu” when I saw the car in person huutokaupat.com/en/kohde/650...
Surely one of the rarest cars I’ve seen in town, a Mazda 929 wagon.
Rarity alert: Saab 900 Cabrio Sun Beach by Rinspeed. Special paint and interior with turquoise details and headrests
As I returned our Peugeot e-2008 earlier this month, our five-year stint of driving around in leased EVs came to an end. The first one was the Hyundai Ioniq 38kWh I brought home in Sep ’21. It’s been easy! There’s something to be said about driving new, warrantied cars that don’t need fuel to run.
