Later, he won a World Series in Arizona (2001) and coached his alma mater to a 2005 college series victory. 87 Donruss was all possibility for CLE and its Rated Rookie.
The only thing between Modesto and Fresno is lots of farmland… and Steve Whitaker’s childhood. Whitaker was drafted by two NorCal teams: the 30th round by the A’s out of high school and 1st round by the Giants three years later. 92 Topps goes horizontal with this prospect who never made the majors.
