Celebrating our Cadets Following National Cadet Week, I have been reflecting on the brilliant work the Cadet Forces do to help young people discover new skills, explore their strengths, and develop confidence in the face of challenge.

Help rebuild our hospital The Conservatives broke their promise to rebuild the hospital by 2030, leaving our brilliant healthcare staff working in unacceptable conditions, and patients are paying the price. This cannot go on any longer.

📍 Itasca Wines All MPs have a team of staff supporting them in their work, and I am lucky enough to have the most amazing people in my team. So this week, I took them to a fantastic local business, where of course, we had to try out the local fare.

World Mental Health Day Today is a chance to talk openly about mental health, and to celebrate the local groups and charities doing so much to support people across our community. I want to give a special mention to Hartland Men's Shed and Church Crookham and Fleet Men's Shed.

My campaign starts now Last night, I was honoured to be reselected as your Lib Dem candidate for the next general election. I’m so proud of everything I’ve achieved over the last two years as your MP, and I’m determined to keep up that hard work in the run-up to the election and beyond.

Making this parliament a turning point for cancer. Earlier this year, I was proud to sign the pledge to make this parliament a turning point for cancer. Cancer should be a top priority for this Government, and the UK should be a global leader in cancer research and outcomes.

Supporting the hair and beauty industry💈 📉 Soaring energy costs, an outdated business rates system and the rise in employer National Insurance contributions are placing mounting pressure on businesses across the area. ✂️The hair and beauty sector has been hit especially hard.

Cross party working MPs from different parties often work best together, as we each bring something different to the table. For me, that perspective comes from years working in the charity sector, and it's something I draw on regularly in my work on the Women and Equalities Select Committee.

Fixing Family Courts Before becoming an MP, I worked for a domestic abuse charity and spent countless hours in family courts supporting women and children fleeing violence. I saw first-hand how children were sometimes required to spend time with a parent who had been abusive in their home.

Great to be back at the Liberal Democrat conference this year. I had a busy first day catching up with local party members and colleagues and hearing some great speeches on how the party is working to fight for the issues you all care about.

Hare coursing Earlier this month, I was pleased to see that Hampshire Police recently arrested four men on suspicion of illegal hare coursing near Odiham.

Chalk streams Huge thanks to the extremely knowledgeable team at Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust who showed me round the beautiful Greywell Fen, one of the rarest and most precious natural habitats on in the UK. Through this area runs the River Whitewater, a local chalk stream river

Get this petition to number 10 🚑We have had so many signatures for our petition, but we need a few more. Once we have enough, I'll be taking it straight to No.10 to put further pressure on the Prime Minister to move Basingstoke Hospital up the waiting list.

Positive male role models Last Thursday, I spoke for the Liberal Democrats in the Westminster Hall debate on positive male role models. Boys need men in their lives they can look up to: fathers, grandfathers, teachers, coaches, youth workers.

This week, I met the MD of South Western Railway to put your concerns to him. We discussed: 🚆 Overcrowding on peak trains 🚆 Timetable changes 🚆 Signal failures, and the investment needed to fix them 🚆 Reliability of services at Fleet, Bramley, Winchfield & Hook 🚆 Accessibility and level crossings

Today, Parliament sat again for the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Private Member's Bill. The Bill remains unchanged from last year and I again voted in favour. This is a decision that is of the highest significance and I feel very much the weight of responsibility of this vote.

North East Hampshire Fire Services Crews from across Hart, Rushmoor and Basingstoke and Deane have tackled fire after fire in extreme heat, protecting the heathland and woodland that makes our constituency so special. Our natural environment is irreplaceable and right now, dangerously vulnerable.

Labour's terrible planning changes I have heard from and spoken to thousands of you about your concerns over planning. You are right to be worried - I am too.

🏙️Fleet High Street 👏 Today I had the opportunity to question the Minister on the floor of the House of Commons about how we're supporting our high streets, both to grow and to stay safe from criminality. 🔒

📍A busy first week back in Parliament after the summer recess. 🤝Started the week in the community at the Odiham Food Fayre. 🏥 Tabled an amendment to the Health Bill calling on the Government to bring forward the rebuild of Basingstoke Hospital.

Proud to celebrate local businesses in Parliament. 💼Our hairdressers, garages, care homes, pubs, garden centres and beauty salons are the backbone of our community. They create jobs, support local families and keep our high streets thriving, and they deserve a Government that backs them.

Babies Bill 👶 It was my work in the charity sector that ignited a political spark and motivated me to stand for Parliament. I saw first hand the impact that underinvestment in public services has on children and families when they need it most.
