Society Workshop is a nonprofit that (1) uses social science in partnership with communities to solve challenges, (2) puts research-backed knowledge and insights in the hands of the public, and (3) offers training to future social scientists.

Are you interested in using science to improve policies and training? Supporting future generations of scholars? Helping to ensure critical knowledge production is not compromised by funding disruption and political interference? Check this out and consider supporting! www.societyworkshop.org

Sometimes I feel like academic work is a poor fit for the moment. While the university is under threat, engagement with the public is not incentivized. Along with some friends, we started Society Workshop as a way to bring more social science to the public. www.societyworkshop.org

What's going on with politically-motivated terminations of federal grants? How should social psychologists react and respond? Where do we go from here? No good answers but join me and other affected researchers for a virtual discussion next Friday.

Unfortunately, the NSF grant that supports our work has been terminated. This is a setback, but our mission has not changed. We will continue to work hard on making cognitive science a more inclusive field. Stay tuned for upcoming events.

I'm disappointed to share that my NSF career grant on anti-Asian dehumanization was terminated. This affects ongoing project activities, which have shown great progress so far, and support for my research team and more. I'm sad to share that the hiring of the postdoc role is currently on pause.
