Some more photos from "Le Jardin des mémoires". I cannot emphasize enough what a waste of money it was for a ticket to this thing. The description made it sound much better than it actually was. But getting to see/bask in the presence of one of Serge Fiori's guitars was still pretty cool!

A mere speck in the universe. South Jersey girl at heart. Love 1970s prog rock. Jethro Tull fanatic/Tullevangelist. Basement bassist. Ailurophile. Kitchen prose, gutter rhymes, divers. Harmonium/Serge Fiori-obsessed. NoVA, USA, Virgo Supercluster
Martin Barre has added some more US dates to his 2027 tour. If you like Jethro Tull and he is playing close enough, then I highly recommend catching one of Martin's shows. His band is fantastic and makes Tull's music sound very fresh. And Martin is funny! martinbarre.com/martin-barre...

Though I didn't buy as much as last time, I still managed to pick up some music on my trip to Québec last week. I am becoming a Harmonium/Serge Fiori completionist. 😂 (The copy of Harmonium En tournée is for a friend.)
Part of the finale from the #SergeFiori Seul Ensemble show. I had to end the video so I could join in the singing. 😁
This was a lovely effect that they did during 2 songs. This particular one was later in the show and I was able to sneak a video. I presume they did this same thing in the 2019 performances but I found Serge disappearing into a cloud of smoke to be very emotional since he passed away last year.
The "Jardin des Mémoires" before the Cirque Éloize show was a total waste of money but at least I got to see the original artwork for the "Les cinq saisons" album. It was incredible to see. I never realized it was layered!
Le Cafe Vert por un Americano et un croissant. (This is pretty much stretching my limits of French lol.)
On my way to Montréal. 3 hours down, 7.5 hours to go. Stopped at a little place for breakfast in Frackville, PA. Now back on the road...
IT'S HERE! IT'S HERE!! Fortunately, I work remotely. This is how it was left on my porch, just advertising the contents. (Though it would have probably been safe anyway. 😂)
In honor of Bluesky's new 10-minute video limit, here is a 1976 live performance by Harmonium of "Un musicien parmi tant d'autres", clocking in at 9 minutes and 59 seconds.
Yesterday was Harmonium day, today it's Jethro Tull. 😊 Under Wraps was finally cheap enough to get me to click "buy" lol.
I've added a set of Harmonium album cover tote bags to my bag collection. I got Les cinq saisons in 2 sizes because I love the artwork. I am going to be the coolest Harmonium fan in Montréal next month. (Please let me hold on to this delusion and don't burst my bubble! 😁)
There ARE two! They've been out on the deck all day today ❤️
A fox having a little nap on my back deck, among the tomato plants. 🙂
Rounding out #JethroJuly day 31: repeat photos of my Jethro Tull tour shirts (incl. solo IA & the Martin Barre Band) and various non-tour shirts, collected since 1993. The last photo is two additional that weren't in the pictures from 2024. (One is new since then, the other I forgot to include.)
Last Thursday, I ordered the Minstrel in the Gallery 50th anniversary marbled vinyl and a signed copy of Egg's The Civil Surface. Today, they arrived on my doorstep! Only one week from the UK to Virginia, USA, which is incredible. I am totally impressed and a HUGE thanks to @burningshed.com !
#JethroJuly day 30 Only because my newest acquisition (the 50th anniversary marble vinyl) just turned up today, here is my Minstrel in the Gallery collection. I even took the copy down from my wall that Martin Barre signed for me. 😊 LOVE this album. "Baker St. Muse" is a particular masterpiece.
#JethroJuly day 29 The last of the absurd quantities of a single album. I adopt stray copies of the TAAB vinyl if they are in good condition with the full newspaper (and under $10 USD). The Japanese "mini-LP" CD is a particular favorite. It's cool the way the sleeve is perfectly reproduced!
#JethroJuly day 28 An issue of Cat Fancy magazine from 2001 that I saved because it had an article on Ian Anderson. 🐱 (Image should be clear enough to read when expanded/zoomed in.)
#JethroJuly day 27 Various live recordings I've collected when they cross my path. I prefer the early Tull performances with these. (Duplicates would be because I bought the CD first then found a color vinyl, which I am drawn to like a magpie.)
#JethroJuly day 26 This little scene with John Evan from a great Jethro Tull documentary. (The Lively Arts, first broadcast in the UK in 1980.) (It's a really lazy one today but I've been hauling a ton of vinyl from my basement to my living room all day lol.)
#JethroJuly day 25 Music newspaper from May 1970, which includes a story of John Evan's arrest in the US and him thinking the experience was "great". 😄 I think these should be clear enough to read if the images are expanded/zoomed in.

#JethroJuly day 24 Not only do I have the BOUREE license plate, I also drive around with this on the same car. (I'm really scraping the bottom of the barrel here, I know. Running out of stuff to post! 😂)
#JethroJuly day 23 My oldest shirt from my first Tull concert, the 25th anniversary tour. I wore it so much that I pretty much had to retire it after 5 years due to fading and holes from washing it. Amazingly, I found one online in 2021 that was in excellent condition (and not a reproduction)!
#JethroJuly day 22 I saved this December 1969 article from The Journal Herald in Dayton, Ohio way back when I had a Newspapers dot com subscription. The title "Rock Musician Dislikes Rock" amused me, and is very Ian Anderson. (The article should be clear enough to read if enlarged.)
