It was great being with the Missouri Young Dems in Springfield last night! Word is getting out! They know we are working to protect their access to a future with a quality of life they can be comfortable with! Affordability. Healthcare. Leaders who don't support genocide. The good stuff! #unity
We held a District 7 Town Hall on 10/8 in Springfield. Mr. Burlison's schedule "wouldn't allow him to attend." Young and old alike have so many valid concerns: affordability, ICE, wars, the very security of our democratic processes and rights. We're going to win this. Together. Let's right the ship.
When I was very young my sister and I lived w grandparents. We survived on food stamps. Every family receiving assistance has a story. Many, like mine, have a happy ending. Some may even call mine a success story. Let's focus on creating more success stories rather than tax cuts for the wealthy.
In June, Eric Burlison went to Mexico & Bozeman to attend UFO conferences. Even "believers" called the guy Eric was hanging out with in Mexico a fake. Meanwhile, zero town halls to face & hear the concerns of his constituents. We'll hold an empty seat town hall in July bc people need to be heard.

I do not know why MO isn't participating in what could be a great way to capitalize on climate warming solutions. SWMO is losing chicken farms and has a dearth of industry. Encouraging crop rotation to include hemp could provide several meaningful solutions!
Bc why wouldn't we punish of 20% of MO children & 42% of our eligible older folks? They just need to find those boot straps and get jobs. BTW - my family rec'd food stamps when I was little. Jim Jordan being supported for SOH last Fall by Burlison was one of the motivators for my run for Congress this year. I will continue to stress the importance of leadership being held to high standards of ethics because there is indeed a trickle-down effect with attitudes and behaviors.
