My first visit to the Red Lion at Blakey Ridge where the sun was shining and people were sitting outside! As always great pints and great food (eaten before I even thought about a photograph!)!
Visit to the Postgate, Egton Bridge - always fantastic! Friendly welcoming bar staff, food looked excellent, plenty of lovely garden space and right by the train station if you fancy popping from Whitby!
To celebrate Yorkshire Day we’ve headed out for a North York Moors walk (with pub stops of course) - the Horseshoe Hotel at Egton Bridge is our first stop- overall disappointing - didn’t feel very cared for (including the beer)

Quick stop at the Horseshoe Inn in Levisham! I haven’t been here for years, perhaps a little too set up for food inside for my taste, but was tidy and welcoming and I can’t fault the lovely view down the whole village from the seats outside! #pub

After a walk in/around Cropton Forest we headed for refreshment at The White Swan Inn, Newton-on-Rawcliffe, North York Moors! A traditional pub, in the heart of the village- and helpfully signposted off the footpath behind!

Cafe Brun, Bordeaux - this evening was a lovely venue for Canada v RSA, lots of Belgium beers, Scottish Whiskys and a lovely atmospheric environment- although lots of steps up to the toilet (if you have a long skirt on like me). #pub
The Houses of Parliament, Bordeaux- much nicer than it looked online! Darts, pool, sports tv and a ‘Bedford’ stout called Genesis - which online does seem to suggest it is brewed actually in Bedford! #pub
Cite Du Vin, Bordeaux - after visiting the exhibitions your ticket includes a glass of wine (or two) in the 8th floor Belvédère bar! #wine
