A hand painted alter of the Magic: The Gathering card “Howling Mine”. The focus is an intricate blue and teal entrance to a mine with a visage of an anguished face. The eyes and mouth are glowing a mysterious warm light. In front of the mine are strange plants growing up the entrance. There’s a red brick pathway leading from the mouth of the mine towards the viewer. Gray paving stones act as barriers between the bricks and the strange plants. Two wooden posts stand at the end of the bricks as if they once held a warning to those who may venture to close to the mine.

Finally correcting a long-time error of mine and getting myself a v60 for pourover coffee. I previously thought I didn't need one since I already have a Chemex. I now realize the error of my ways

I am a girl. I like reptiles and horror movies and science fiction and comics and TTRPGs, and for my entire life, every time I have entered a space, I have had to prove that I didn't "steal" it from the person* it rightfully belonged to. (*Boy, then man.)

Being positive for a minute to acknowledge things I think they're doing really well. I absolutely love the depiction of holograms as Artifact Creatures with the Illusion subtype. It handles it perfectly and doesn't bloat the game with more unnecessary subtypes. 10/10

This was me. I was a Head Start kid, living with a single disabled mother in one of the country's poorest cities. "We're defunding the program that helps our starving children in crippling poverty, so we can afford to blow up MORE children overseas" is a fucking wild platform.

Star Wars Unlimited continues to be an incredibly cool game that I think would appeal to a lot more people if it wasn't wrapped in an extremely polarizing franchise. Ignore all that! Forget needing to know all the characters! Just try it out and you'll see it's one of the best games out there!

Like, Fire Emblem has never had the most amazing writing team, but the lines they featured for the Fortune's Weave Direct are particularly rough. "Sorry, failure is not an option for me. But that's only because I don't have any choice!!" No way this is the same team as "Pick a god and pray."

She’s not done yet, but I feel I owe you all an update. My first attempt at an alter using brushes, along with my usual Posca markers and microns. A little left to do, but it’s the hardest I have pushed myself in a while and I’m excited! Will post the finished piece (along with another alter) soon

I hate the fact that life has turned into an endless series of single-use kitchen gadgets. Want to go to a theme park? Better install their proprietary app. Want to go to another theme park owned by the same company? That will be another app.
