3 in 10 children in the UK are now living in poverty, according to new data, but it's not like there isn't money to fix this – just look at those billionaires go! A wealth tax on the richest could raise up to £24bn *a year* to spend on ending child poverty (and more besides)

A graph showing the increase in child poverty from 2010-2024, which grew from 3.6m in 2010/2011 to 4.5m in 2023/2024 according to the HBAI data. Apart from a fall during the pandemic, the increase is sustained. Over the same time period, billionaire wealth in the UK grew from £205bn to £679bn.
