This is huge. My family is preparing for a Tuesday strike. We've checked savings accounts, bought lawn chairs, are baking cookies to take, etc. This is THE ONLY WAY voices are heard. And trust me when I say not one employee wants a strike. But "when we fight, we win"! Go, @utlanow.bsky.social!
Three unions unite in massive LAUSD strike threat: What's at stake for workers, families
With the LA schools strike deadline approaching, the stakes couldn’t be higher for students, families and educators. No one wants to strike, but when schools aren’t getting the resources they need, people come together to demand better. @utlanow.bsky.social www.cbsnews.com/losangeles/n...

Airports are meant to be places of connection, safety, and freedom of movement. But that is rapidly changing. This is not just an immigration issue. It is a civil rights crisis. Our communities deserve transparency, accountability, and the freedom to move without fear. #abolishice
After last week's @utlanow.bsky.social strike date announcement, I ordered camp chairs. (We gotta take turns standing & marching & yelling!) Said chairs have arrived so now would be a great time for LAUSD to meet all of the union's terms & allow me to return the chairs before I even open the boxes!
Let's make amazon.com pay to fix LA's potholes. 🦺 The Overpaid CEO Tax would generate $100 million to repair over 100 miles of sidewalks EVERY YEAR. It's time to tax greed to pay for what we need. 🤑💰 Learn more at ceotax.la – and if somebody asks you to sign their petition for the tax, say YES!
🚨 Strike Date Set for April 14 Enough is enough! Los Angeles educators and LAUSD support staff have been sounding the alarm for years! It’s time to stand with our @utlanow.bsky.social educators, stand with our students, and stand with our community.
Educators and school staff at @utlanow.bsky.social and @seiu.org Local 99 have been working without a contract since June 2024. They’re fighting for what students need and the schools they deserve. We stand with them as they push for a fair agreement by April 14. www.latimes.com/california/s...
