MICHIGAN: Join me tomorrow Thurs. 7/30 as I speak out at this peaceful protest. The fracking industry calls me "Mouthy Michelle." Damn right I am. I've been fighting in my home county and nationally against oil drilling, pipelines and now reckless, underregulated data centers. People > profit

The graphic has a drawing of a barn on fields and at the bottom it says "No Data Centers" and "Honk for Democracy X Saline Indivisible.

I shared my thoughts with Barn Raiser on the importance of hyperscale data centers in the 2026 and 2028 elections. Democrats should be leading the way on ensuring data centers serve the people, not the other way around. @barnraiser.bsky.social barnraisingmedia.com/2026-electio...

We won a delay! I spoke alongside many community members and leaders in my County, opposing Oracle's proposal for a 50% tax abatement on their AI data center. Mlive shared some of my testimony 👇 The vote is now set for July 14, so we keep the pressure on. www.mlive.com/news/ann-arb...

I stepped away from the Texas Dems Convention in Corpus Christi to witness stunning shorelines devastated by environmental degradation from industries guzzling water, while families face water restrictions and possible rationing. Dems Elida Castillo, Daniel Ayala, Sylvia Campos are fighting back.

Wisconsin, my birth state, is dear to my heart. At the state Dem convention in Madison, I spoke to the Environmental Caucus and on the Politics of Place panel. Conversations kept coming back to land and water — wake boats, PFAS, data center, the Boundary Waters. And climate. Winning issues, all.

The panelists at the Politics of Place: How Climate Candidates Win on Water, Energy & Conservation in Wisconsin stand, smiling toward the camera. Included in the photo: Jeremiah Fredrickson, Rebecca Powell Marx, Rep. Rebecca Stroud, WisDems Environmenal Caucus Chair Vik Verma, Kat Klawes. Grinchy, terrible idea to put a data center right next to a zoo. Zoo officials warn the notorious data center noise could interfere with breeding efforts of endangered clouded leopards, which are sensitive to noise. More than 500,000 people have signed on in opposition.

We applaud Nashville Mayor Freddie O'Connell for moving to stop a data center next to the zoo's clouded leopards. 200,000+ sq ft. A 50 MW substation. Feet from endangered animals. This is leadership.

❌ $1.8 million estimate. Nearly $15 million spent. ❌ A no-bid contract to a firm that had never held a federal contract, but had reportedly worked at Trump's own golf club. ❌Result: peeling paint & a massive algae bloom within 24 hours of project completion. We the people paid for this mess.

Energy, insurance, housing, health care: climate & pollution are driving up costs. Today 6/11 7pm ET, I join GA Public Service Commissioner Alicia Johnson to talk about it & how to connect the issues when talking with voters. 📎democratic-environmental-caucus-of-florida.solidarity.tech/affordability

My first boss in politics, Paul Wellstone, often said, “You can remake the world daily.” As I told my friends in Wyoming, the opportunity and responsibility to make our country a better place is why we must put in the hard work to elect Democrats across the country.

TONIGHT, 7pm ET — I'm joining Lake Worth Waterkeeper's Reinaldo Diaz and the Democratic Environmental Caucus of Florida on why data centers are a defining election issue in FL. Water. Rates. Rural land. Wildlife. Register: Democratic-Environmental-Caucus-of-Florida.Solidarity.Tech/Data-Center

So proud to work with Howard Chou, who is now the Vice Chair of the @dncclimate.bsky.social - and who has and continues to lead with heart, hands and voice for our environment💚In 2023, he fought fracking. In 2026, he's still fighting for our waters - in Colorado and Minnesota and everywhere.

At a public hearing on the proposed 33,000-acre fracking project, Council AAPI Dir. and Colorado resident Howard Chou testified on the health and climate risks of fracking near the vital Aurora reservoir. We must transition off fossil fuels urgently.
