I was so sure I'd ditch the crutches when I went into work, but I failed to consider that my ankle would be angry after the physical therapist worked on the scar tissue this morning. Cue painfully hobbling down the loooong hallways. Ah well. Recovery is non-linear, and I need to keep that in mind.

While I do not enjoy playing the obstinate asshole toward my co-workers, if they make stupid demands that are beyond their role and authority that will require resources from my team then yeah - I'll be that asshole.

Not so gentle reminder that con staff are unpaid volunteers giving up what little free time they have to put on incredible events for you Being rude, inflammatory and downright nasty to them about things beyond their control is disgusting and I WILL judge you harshly for it

To follow up: Utterly charming, and made me tear up in the best way. Sweet disaster twink meets ace cinnamon roll single dad (kinda) in a small-town romance. Finley is his own worst enemy, but I can sympathize with his doom-spiraling. Rating: 5 out of 5! www.goodreads.com/book/show/25... #MMRomance

OK, I can tell I'm gonna like this book already if it has me cackling in the first 15 pages. (Slow Brew, by D.G. Holloway)

A screenshot of text: I’m probably the perfect prey for a coyote to nibble on: bite-sized, zero defensive skills, all panic, no disco. For all I know, this man just saved me from what could’ve been a violent animal attack. I can see the headline now: Half-Eaten Twink Carcass Found on Interstate. Locals Blame Poor Life Choices.

Great physical therapy news: everything is FINALLY healed up (should have happened by week 3-4, not week 15) and the therapist could start working on the scar tissue. Even 15 min of massaging made a huge difference in the amount of pain with each step. I'm hopeful recovery will speed up from here.

Today's trip was marginally less painful than last week's, so I guess that is a win? And yeah, I could have groceries delivered and in some cases it works well, but the times I've tried to order produce have been disastrous so I prefer to shop for that myself.

The ren faire was a bust, so I decided to hit some breweries I haven't been to in a while. This place in Barrington does interesting, sometimes "difficult" beers (read: wild fermentation beers), but it's worth a stop. This Six Years an Orchard saison is a collab with More Brewing. It's quite tasty!
