I’m proud to be endorsed by the Kansas City Star. Working people are getting left behind while politicians give tax cuts to billionaires and corporations. I’m running for governor to bring costs down for Kansas families, veterans, and seniors.
Tune in tonight at 6:00 PM on WIBW to hear my vision for Kansas and what we can achieve together. Hope you'll join us! Livestream it here: www.wibw.com/livestream/
As we reflect on 250 years of our nation’s independence, I’m grateful for all who have made sacrifices to defend our freedoms and our democracy. Wishing everyone a fun and safe 4th of July!
Join me tomorrow morning on KCUR for a conversation about the Democratic primary race for governor and my plan to make life more affordable for all Kansans. In person seating will be limited. I recommend you bring your own chair.
As we hear more about bringing data centers to Kansas, we need to make sure Kansans come first, not Big Tech billionaires or corporate interests. Any project should be evaluated based on its long-term impact on our communities, resources, and families.
My statement on the reduction in early voting locations in Johnson County.
Under Ty Masterson’s leadership, the KS supermajority has allowed higher property taxes and a record number of farm closures. Ty has blocked Medicaid expansion and the legalization of medicinal cannabis. Make no mistake - Ty cares about putting more money in his pocket, not Kansans.
My prayers are with everyone in SW Kansas affected by the ongoing wildfires. Thank you to the emergency teams battling to get them under control and keep people safe.
I’ve got big news for Kansas! I’m proud to announce State Rep. KC Ohaebosim as my pick for Lieutenant Governor. He believes in strong public schools, affordable healthcare, good jobs, and making government work for ordinary people, not just the wealthy. Welcome to the team!
I will never take Core Civic money and I call on all politicians who have taken their money to return it.
Americans don’t want new wars overseas, they want leaders to fix problems here at home. I am hoping for an immediate end to this conflict, and I am praying today for the families of the three American service members killed in combat and for the safety of all of our service members.
The continued escalation from federal agents is not making Americans safer. The family of the American citizen killed in Minnesota today deserves a full, unbiased investigation into the actions of those involved. This chaos and violence must stop now.
Right now, thousands of Kansans are facing skyrocketing healthcare costs at a time when families are already stretched thin. The Senate has a clear opportunity to lower costs by extending the ACA subsidies. It's time for Congress to act.
Spend your Saturday morning with me and your local legislators! I love every opportunity to chat with Kansans about how to make our state better. Hope to see you there!
Scott Schwab is playing political games with election officials. He is unqualified and unfit to be governor. We can’t trust any of these extremists—not Schwab, Masterson, or Colyer.
I recently sat down with Josh Cowen, nationally renowned education advocate & author, to talk about my campaign for governor. Josh & I met years ago while fighting to protect our public schools. We discussed public education, winning in red districts, and how our values drive our work. Check it out!
My latest newsletter features 5 Questions for @cindyforkansas.bsky.social on her campaign for governor in Kansas. We talked about public education, leading with your values, and about the disastrous Brownback Experiment—which nearly bankrupted her state. That and much more👇
Last week, Sara and I got to catch up with our family friends, Daniel and Shaun! Daniel is the Vice President of NTEU Chapter 66, and Shaun previously led AFGE Local 85. As the daughter of a union worker, I’m proud to be part of the fight for fair wages and safe working conditions.
Yesterday, our team helped distribute turkeys to Kansas families in KCK! Everyone deserves a hearty, fulfilling meal this Thanksgiving. Working alongside Mayor-Elect Christal Watson and our staffer Pete made the day even more meaningful. 💛
Kansans always show up. A few weeks ago, families across our state were struggling to put food on the table because of the government shutdown. We put out a call for donations of food and toiletries, and you all delivered!
Every step of this campaign is for you. When I first ran for office, it was to end the Brownback experiment and get our schools back on track. Today, I’m running to make life more affordable and support every one of you who make this state so special.
Former Treasurer and Lt. Gov. Lynn Rogers has always led with heart, working to make life better for everyday Kansans. He’s a dear friend of mine, and I’m truly honored to have his support!
Costs are rising every day, and families are finding it harder and harder to make ends meet. In the last year, grocery prices have gone up 3%, utilities up 11%, and medical services up almost 4%. As governor, I’ll focus on policies that lower the cost of living—not increase it.
I raised my kids to fight for what they believe in. My daughter Maddie took that to heart a few years ago when she testified in front of the legislature against GOP efforts to hurt our public schools. Advocacy runs in our family—it’s who we are.
I’m honored to have the support of Joe Spease! Joe has spent years leading the way in clean energy, fighting to build a more sustainable future for our kids and our state. As a proud supporter of clean energy, it means so much to have him in my corner. Thank you, Joe! 🌻
Such a great morning yesterday serving breakfast to our veterans at Hyvee! It was a special opportunity to give back and connect with some incredible Kansans who’ve served our country. Thank you to all our veterans! 💙
Running for office takes time, energy, and a whole lot of heart. I couldn’t do any of this without my family. My kids and my husband show up for me every single day, and I’m so grateful for them. 💛
