I really love writing reviews. I love introducing people to poets, books, and presses they may not have known about before. I love digging into the poems and trying to figure out why they sing with me, and I hope they sing with you. Please go check out my reviews at SoFloPoJo. ❤️

I am so grateful to have three new poetry book reviews in the August issue of South Florida Poetry Journal. This issue, I review books by Jessica Nirvana Ram, Robin Walter, and Joe Wilkins. Please check it out at the link in the comments.

I can't decide if I'm just feeling b*itchy tonight or if my school's new SLOGAN - "Race to Excellence" is really as horrific as I'm thinking it is. (I teach sixth grade in a struggling school) (Why are we racing?) (Is there a finish line?) (What about those who can't/don't want to race?)

Last Friday, we were evacuated from our middle school for a suspicious gas smell. OSHA has now taken over our building, and we are trying to cobble together online learning for the 650 children we serve without access to any of our materials. So, how is your week going?
