Probably going to break 90 kilometres walked/jogged this week. Combined with a healthy amount of yoga, im nearly back to my tumblr era fitness level. If you know, you know.

Still doing a lot of story writing lately. Songs are still on hold for a bit. Feeling drawn to prose for now. If you know where to find my non-music works, Patreon and such, look for something new there shortly.

A lot of the "professional" reviews for Supergirl read like they were expecting a huge incel backlash against the film and wanted to hedge their bets. One even criticized the film because "she's so crude and never combs her hair." Meanwhile the audience reaction seems to be "Cool popcorn flick."

Finished an 18,000 word short story earlier, aiming for ~12,500 after editing. I'm not sure if the world will really understand Islamic cyberpunk (it's a tech noir piece set in the Emirates circa 2097). But it's a story I wanted to tell. Details when they're ironed out.

1980s Franchise announces new cartoon with nothing shown but logo. The Internet: "It's going to be woke DEI garbage, watch my 18 minute youtube video to see how 'they' are ruining your childhood!" I am so goddamn tired of modern "civilization".

I wonder if the people who post several times a day about the environmental impact of AI realize what the energy cost of a single social media post is. I suspect they do not.

For the folks who have picked up some of my work this Bandcamp Friday, you are very much appreciated 🖤 I probably advertise my own work less often than I should, so it's always a nice surprise when folks find their way to my tunes.

If you know me, you'll know the only thing I love as much as the ocean is outer space. There is so much potential for positive exploratory growth in either environment. I want to be excited that we're leaving near-Earth orbit again... So why does the Artemis II mission feel so hollow?

I know it's important to separate an artist from their art, for example some of the best military sci-fi authors are huge anti-war folks IRL But it's a real shame to see a guy who writes books about humanity coming together going on a culture war podcast to bitch about wokeness or whatever.

I just learned Andy Weir went on a right-wing grifter's podcast. Shame. Weir's novels didn't read like they were written by a douchebag. But I guess some people hide in plain sight.

The reaction to my recent ambient release has been pleasantly surprising. While I don't really consider myself an ambient artist, it would be a crime to own as many synthesizers as I do and not explore the genre from time to time. There will be more, but first...

I heard someone make a "Deez Nuts" joke today. We really are doomed to repeat the worst parts of the 80s and 90s forever, aren't we? Someone should write a synthpop track about that... 😏

If a mainstream artist released Depeche Mode's "People are People" for the first time in 2026, I feel like at least half the population would debate the validity of the song's message.

You've become so convinced to chase the carrot on a stick that you have never once considered grabbing the stick and breaking it over the heads of those who organized the chase.
