There’s a lot growing at GVSU! 🌱 It was great visiting the Sustainable Agriculture Project and seeing how students are getting hands-on experience growing food, learning sustainable practices, and contributing to West Michigan’s local food systems.

On August 18, 1920, the 19th Amendment was ratified, finally granting women the right to vote. Today, we remember the generations of women who fought for the ballot and keep up their fight to make sure every eligible voter can make their voice heard.

West Michigan is a powerhouse for aerospace and defense manufacturing, supporting more than 8,700 jobs across our region. I sat down with local industry leaders to talk about strengthening American manufacturing, supporting small businesses, and building a strong local defense industrial base.

LAUP has spent decades helping Latino families access educational opportunities, develop community leaders, and strengthen economic opportunity across West Michigan. These conversations inform my work to lower costs, improve access to health care, and support small businesses.
