Turns out all I needed to do to get my infant to burp consistently was to make her a song like I did for diaper and outfit changes, so now we sing, “Do You Wanna Burp for Mama?” to the tune of “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” and why didn’t I figure this out months ago 🫠

One summer my theatre camp put on a musical (which I was in) & a play, & the barometer for how well the actors in the play were doing was whether or not they made me cry. Which says a lot about how much I cried at 15 (& now), & about my people pleasing! (Need me to cry for validation? I got you!)

The world is bad but today I’m thinking about the guy I went on one date with 11 years ago who worked in software but was “actually a comic” and who said, “Boom! Comedy! Write it down!” after every (unfunny) joke. Do you think he ever found someone to write it down…?

Don’t know if I’ll ever work in TV again, but I take great comfort in the fact that the most abusive showrunner I worked for, who held my wrists, refusing to let go, & used to joke that I was going to sue him for s3xual hara$$ment, who’s had reports at multiple studios, remains gainfully employed 🙃
