you don't own me (you don't even know me)

The tiny golden mark on the outside of Aventurine's wrist has to be a mistake. Only submissives have soulmarks, and Aventurine is anything but submissive. And Sunday Oak is the last person in the galaxy who would want him for a soulmate.

a 2 panel comic page.
panel 1 shows aventurine smiling, holding a float-ring and winking happily at the camera, big lettering above him reads "its Summer time!!" while chibi depictions of Ratio, Jade, Topaz & Robin wait for him at a beach picknick.

panel 2 is a view of chibi aventurine giggling to himself imagining what beachwear sunday might wear. speachbubbled surrounding him read: "ahh i cant wait to see sunday at the beach! he'll look so beautiful in the water, all pretty with the sun shining on him-! i wonder what kind of bathing suit he'll wear... that body of his is way too handsome to always be covered by his stuffy clothing!" another set of lettering above him reads "Delusional"

page 2 panel 1 shows aventurine walking up to robin for their planed beach picknick. dialog from aventurine reads: "hiii~ Robby! (sorry im late)" robin replies:"Churin! you made it! (no worries!)"
dialog continues the next 2 panels as aven says:"i wouldnt miss this. speaking of missing... wheres that handsome brother of yours~?" robin giggles, "he went into the water already to cool off, right over there." to which they hear splashing as sunday comes up from the water and aventurines eyes widen at the sight.
the next panel shows sunday approaching the shore, completely soaked as he runs a hand through his wet hair and says "Ah! kakavasha, there you are. youre late."

page 3 depicts a close up of sundays back (and butt hehe) as aventurine blushes profusely while looking him up and down. he stammers "ah- h-hi angel" taken aback by sunday wearing a full coverage diving wetsuit. the next panels show close ups of the suit clinging tightly to his skin as aven thinks "ohoho yes! i can work with this!" due to his staring sunday asks, "is everything alright, dear?" Aventurine panics, "N-no- Yes! i mean y-ou look gorgeou- OW!!" as he is promptly cut off by topaz throwing a beachball directly at his head while yelling "stop oogling the bird and go help ratio with the grill!!" he yells back "okay okay geez-!" and leaves sunday standing wondering "i wonder whats up with him? ... he called me gorgeous though heh" and the comic ends

One more sunturine week wip! #sunturineweek2026

Like a lot of people, Aventurine kept his soulmark covered. Once upon a time, heavy iron manacles concealed the tiny golden mark, a strange, broken circle with eye-like spokes jutting from it. Now that he was Aventurine of the Stonehearts, an executive in the IPC, the design was covered by a flashy, gaudy watch. He was careful never to let it slip out of place.

Only submissives had soulmarks, after all, and the last thing he needed when climbing the corporate ladder was some asshole trying to make him get on his knees. Technically the IPC's employment policy had protections for submissives, but Aventurine knew better than to rely on HR for fair treatment. Best to keep it to himself.

The mark was a mistake anyway. Aventurine wasn't a submissive person. He was bold and brash and aggressive, and he always went after what he wanted. The idea of meekly following after a dominant soulmate was laughable at best.

sunturine week day 4 wip!

But even the most reckless Masked Fools avoided Asdana.

All except Aventurine. Because there was something in Asdana he couldn't get anywhere else.

He docked his ship at the Reverie, just as he'd done those years ago when he'd first come to Penacony, a brash P45 eager to steal what could be stolen from this planet and sell it to his corporate masters. But instead of the bustling hub he'd flow into back then, he landed in perfect stillness and silence. All other ships were slumbering in their docks, engines off, motionless as they'd been ever since Ena's perfect dream descended.

sunturine week day 3 wip!

Aventurine wasn't one to turn down a challenge. But when he was in Sunday's lap, doing his usual gyrating, Sunday did the oddest thing. He looked deeply into Aventurine's eyes. And it felt like that searching gaze pierced him, down to the depths of his ruined and tattered soul. He felt seen for the first time in a very long time. And what Sunday saw seemed to please him, because his golden eyes darkened with desire, lingering over Aventurine's face as though what he saw there was as erotic or more so than the miles of flesh on display below the neck.
