In collaboration with Augusta Richmond County 4th District Commissioner Lonnie Wimberly, as we welcome our 2026 GA 12th District Congressional candidates Rick Allen and Ceretta Smith to an in-person Community Town Hall on Thursday, October 8, in the historic Julian Smith Casino. (2/6)

This is unconstitutional and violates the 14th amendment which says the census should include “whole number of persons in each state.” 50501 GA is opposed to these changes and the impact it will have on our state and communities. (2/7)

What - Census data helps determine: 1. Congressional Representation, 2. Federal Funding, 3. Healthcare Resources, 4. Hospital Planning, 5. Infrastructure Investment, 6. Economic Development. When communities appear smaller on paper than they actually are, they risk losing political representation, public resources, and private investment. The Census Bureau has proposed permanent changes to the 2030 Decennial Census that would set new regulation excluding certain foreign citizens and exclude questions about race, ethnicity, and sexual orientation. (1/7)

The census should count people in our communities, not create a new governments standard for deciding which residents are worthy of being counted.
