The cat lady who drives cars. Find me on YouTube. youtube.com/alanisking (she/her)

I used voice controls in the Escalade to ask to play Wasteland by 10 Years. The Escalade wouldn’t play it, but said: “That’s a great song!” A few hours later, I asked again. The Escalade again said no, then went into a monologue about how great the song is. It hasn’t done this with any other song

One of the best ways for me to test a vehicle’s screens (like in this Escalade) is to play my own videos, because I know what they look like on every screen. These Cadillac screens are very good

Sad to announce that I opened the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing configurator for research purposes, and I’m remembering why the Blackwing configurator is off limits in my house. (It’s the same reason Starburst are off limits in my house: the temptation is overwhelming and unhealthy)

My husband always says: “You have to do a backflip at least once a decade to prove you’ve still got it.” Once a decade, I fear for his life. He’s landed it every time so far. He’d be very offended if I left that fact out

One unexpectedly fun thing about being self-employed is that when you attend car events, your name badge also says your media outlet. My name badges now say I’m Alanis, here with Alanis
