Finally watched Tomas Alfredson's mea culpa for The Snowman, The Jonsson Gang, and man what a difference an editor makes. Still not a masterpiece, but its climactic setpiece is everything you want from a caper picture

Had a conversation with a potential employer last week who said "well, AI is in everything, we have to figure out how to use it" and I said "no, we really don't" and I'm pretty sure I'm not getting that job
404 Media@404media.co · 3d agoIt's possible to scan books without "cutting" them, which literally means ripping off the spine. But why are AI companies doing this? For one, it's cheaper and faster. Also, in a case against Anthropic, a judge ruled it was NOT a copyright violation because the original had been destroyed.
