I make video games. Not good at art. Ask me questions about Unreal Engine because it's my favorite thing.

Working on a physics driven sports game with hooks and remote mines using Mover and network physics in #ue5. Targeting a playable experience at 150 ping. Still have a long way to go but this is me playing as a client at the target latency. Pretty happy with the results so far. #gamedev

Another day another new discord marketing scammer telling me I suck shit because my wishlists are so low. Never experienced this with my other games. Must be a fun new way to ensure I miss valid messages from actual players.

I tend to rely on a lot of text and numbers to make up for my underwhelming art so I decided to try out some VFX for when you have high clutch. If this looks like a basic niagara emitter with simple color scaling, it's because that is exactly what it is. #gamedev #ue5

Also messing around with a first person knife fighting thing. Trying to see if I can use UE5 physics control components in place of hit react anims. Early testing is positive! Gonna need to tune some values but its pretty cool what you can do with minimal setup. #ue5 #gamedev

Been wanting the backboard to shatter for awhile so I threw that in the other night. I swap the glass with a geometry collection and apply some force to it. I also set simulate physics on the other parts of the backboard which are all separate static meshes.

I'm Riley and I'm gonna try to post more #gamedev stuff. I like unreal engine and I make games. I'll try to share some things. Here is one of my blueprints so you can get an idea of the quality of content you can enjoy. I think it's important to tell at a glance what blueprint code is doing.

An absolute nightmare of an Unreal Engine blueprint
