She was 12 years old. Yesterday, an Israeli drone targeted her and her father in south Lebanon. The first strike killed her father. She survived. Terrified, wounded, she ran for her life. Then another drone followed her. And killed her too. Damn the whole complicit world.

On World Press Freedom Day, any claim to defend press freedom rings hollow if it ignores the primary source of violence against journalists today: the Israeli genocidal state.

This is the Church, convent, and school of the Salvatorian Sisters in Yaron, Lebanon. I studied in one of their schools. The complex had remained standing until yesterday, when Israel deliberately destroyed it. Because they are destroying everything, the very fabric of life.

Amal Khalil, a Lebanese journalist, was targeted today by the IDF in South Lebanon, together with other colleagues. Two were killed, one injured and Amal is still under the rubble. The Red Cross tried to extract her but they were targeted too by the Israelis and had to retreat.

A prey cannot negotiate with its predator. All it would achieve is drawing closer, only to be devoured without resistance.

Lebanese Red Cross medic Hassan Badawi was killed by Israel today. His ambulance was bombed by an Israeli drone, killing him and wounding two of his colleagues. This is not an exceptional event; it is Israeli policy. Rest in peace, hero.

When we filed the complaint against Mr. Ofer, his immediate response was to issue threats directed at my address. He now faces an additional case in Belgium for those threats. The era of impunity is coming to an end.

Yes, Trump did change the Iranian regime. He made it bolder in projecting power across the region. He fostered a sense that Iran had little to lose and much to gain, and a growing conviction: if it could confront the United States and endure, then who, realistically, would dare stand against it?

Israel has now become the first state to codify a death sentence that applies in practice to one ethnic group, while another is effectively shielded from it.

The complicity of the world in Gaza has normalized the killing of children; the killing of doctors, aid workers, and journalists; the targeting of schools, hospitals, mosques, churches, ambulances, and of humanity itself. This is the template now. It will be applied everywhere.

Israel hunted down and murdered journalists Fatima Ftouni (Al Mayadeen) and Ali Shuayb (Al-Manar) in separate targeted strikes, today. After 250+ journalists murdered in Gaza, this is clearly official Israeli policy. Journalism is now a killable offense. Silence is complicity.

Trump: we are victorious, the war is practically over. Reality: This is a war of attrition that could last for years. The Greeks knew it, Hubris triggers Nemesis. An empire lead by such a clown is in decline.

The Lebanese resistance is fighting to defend the country. Resistance against occupation is a right recognized under international law. Israel has chosen to destroy Lebanese villages and towns and cities. Collective punishment constitutes a war crime under international law.

The Lebanese government has decided to outlaw the resistance. No surprise here. Every capitulation regime in history (Vichy, Quisling, etc..) has criminalized resistance against occupation. International law, however, recognizes the right of peoples under occupation to resist.

The world is not ready for the International blood feud that will ensue from assassinating the highest cleric in Shia Islam. May God help us all.

Dear progressive liberal, when you support an illegal aggression carried out by a genocidal regime, led by an indicted war criminal serving as prime minister, and then invoke human rights violations as justification, you reveal the depth of your moral bankruptcy. Not surprising.
