The Jets signing Stuart Skinner makes me wonder if a Hellebuyck to Buffalo scenario is less likely now. UPL has been mentioned in most rumors.

After years of mediocrity and constant rebuilds, they finally get something positive happening, then lose two key elements in Byram and Tuch. At this point, the return for futures is irrelevant. The best way to summarize the current state of the climate in the northeast is that it’s typical to be 50 degrees both at Christmas and on Memorial Day weekend.
One last post: if Tage is healthy, they probably win this series in 6 games. It’ll be interesting to see what injuries he’s dealing with. There must be something with his arm or wrist. He couldn’t win puck battles, stick handle, or get anything on a shot. The weak wrister in OT is a prime example.

One additional thing I’ll say is it’s nice to see a Buffalo team lay it all on the line in a do or die playoff situation. Hopefully this inspires the football team to do the same.

It’s hard to win a playoff series when you have no first line and mediocre goaltending. They need to figure those things out if they want to build on this year. I would 100% let Tuch walk and sign or trade for a younger guy to pay that money to.
I’d be okay with benching Thompson for the third and double shifting 94 and 9. He’s hurting the team WAY more than he’s helping it.

Such a ridiculous take on multiple levels. Most Sabres fans didn’t anticipate a rebound after being outplayed much of the first 3 games. Also, a team doesn’t put up a .700 winning percentage over 55 games because they were “blessed by the hockey gods.”

One big thing we saw last night that I don’t think would have happened with GMKA was Helenius playing. That was his tenth game of the year and thus burns year 1 of his entry level contract. Jarmo definitely understands what this team needs.
The Sabres have yet to play a clean and sharp game this series and somehow find themselves tied 2-2.

Ruff basically saying the Habs players went down easily with contact tonight.
The death of the Sabres was widely overblown.
Good thing the Canadiens got a ten minute pause and a goal overruled so they could get their bearings back.
This is quite a take. No one is writing off the Habs at all. That said, I’d rather be the Sabres right now given the differences in depth both up front and on defense that were on display last night.
