It is with tremendous shame that I have only fuzzy phone pictures of this shelf cloud in southwest PA a couple days ago to present, as it was after work and I didn't have my camera. It's probably the greatest looking storm I've ever been unable to shoot properly. Video is up tomorrow

Cool wispy shelf cloud in western PA yesterday. I missed out on waterspouts over Lake Erie due to car battery issues but I'm hoping it's been fixed bc this continual northwesterly flow pattern has my attention and also I need to get to work

I had a fun chase at Lake Erie on July 21. I decided to avoid the hills in SW PA/SE OH and instead went to check out the lake setup which had my tornadic waterspout senses tingling. It paid off bc I caught a clear funnel cloud over the water! Green color, shelf, and mammatus too

I'm still not 100% sure what to make of this. Tornadic waterspout, surface-based waterspout, severe weather type hybrid, unclear if its contacting the water. I think I can safely call it a waterspout anyway, super happy I caught it

Fun little surprise Tuesday evening in western PA as some wind shear got a couple of thundershowers spinning and the lightning on the forward side ramped up. I didn't capture any video but I did get a decent time lapse. The fireflies came out too

This is great news! Thank you to everyone who helped to sound the alarm or contacted their reps to fight this. I’m no sure what will happen to the sensors already pulled from off the coast of Washington, but the rest of the network is saved for now. Keep fighting! It matters!

Based on the NWS survey for the EF0 tornado in Beaver County PA on Sunday, it would have to be in these photos under that lowered QLCS vortex as it passed west of Beaver Falls, but I didn't notice anything visually at about six miles away
