You worked in ♥ the kitchens ♦ the school ♣ communications technology ♠ administration. The people you work with recognise that you're very good at what you do, but no-one outside of them would know. Now that you're planetside, more is asked of you– and everyone– than one job. You work very hard. Everyone works very hard, of course, but you pick up slack anywhere you can. You are active in your community, in caretaking, in labour. It would look a little strange if you weren't, don't you think? Like you were just kind of resting on your wife's reputation, a little? Not that you would be, of course. That isn't how we think of people. Everyone is provided for, regardless of what they can provide. But, you know. It might look a little strange. Plus she works so hard! The comparison is just hard to avoid. Really, it's only natural.launch day Your first entry is the day that she left on her latest trip. You went to the launch. You always go to the launches. It would look strange if you didn't. Not that you have to, but it would look strange. Everyone who can be spared gets the time off to attend. Note in your entry any small talk you made about it while waiting for the ceremony to begin. further entries Every day that your wife is away, you have two obligations and you get an update on how your wife's trip is going. First, pull your update card. Its suit will tell you when and how to pull your two obligations. It will also tell you when to use the value of the card to determine what news comes to you from your wife's trip. Each obligation uses two cards, which indicate four details of the involved parties and events. Your entry can be in "real time", recording each event as it happens, or it can tell the story of the entire day at the end of it. landing day When you have one of each card value in your pile of update cards, the trip ends and the crew returns home. Pull two obligations, but know you won't get to deal with either of them. After everything, behind closed doors, ask your wife if she's still planning on continuing this work, or if she's ready to stay on the planet full-time with you.
