Just so predictable. Labour got themselves into this because those who aren't True Believers thought they could appease those who are then the issue would go away. Not so. The GCs are obsessives attempting a top down reorientation of our culture to spite a minority they despise. They must be fought.
@lastpositivist.bsky.social · 5d agoMy near-term prediction is this will be met with soft resistance (and not always principled, or at least as much motivated by unwillingness to pay and sheer indifference) initially from British civil society, and the next round fight is a bunch of lawsuits from GCs to try and force compliance.

This reminds me of that very early scene in Nope, where all we see is the silent aftermath of the chimpanzee attack on the TV stage. Almost nothing happens and it’s terrifying. A masterclass.

It's usually unecessary to move the plot (why not just show the aftermath?) and it makes people uncomfortable when they take their parents to the movie theater all the time without looking into what film they are seeing beforehand
Also, I haven’t watched it, but isn’t heated rivalry like 40% fucking? What are these prudes on about?

You only have to look at the veneration of the recently deceased Rod Liddle by prominent women in the "gender critical" movement (Kathleen Stock, Rosie Duffield etc.) to know that their claim to be "protecting women" is utter nonsense.
