We've surpassed our 2030 renewable energy goal five years early, with 52% of our electricity generation now coming from renewable sources. That's supporting 14,000+ clean energy jobs, attracting billions in private investment, and building a stronger economy and a healthier future for New Mexico.

Safer communities start with the people who answer the call. New Mexico has invested $90M million to recruit, train and retain public-safety professionals, iincluding a 55% average increase in state police base pay and support that has helped hire 400+ officers across 29 departments.

New Mexico’s clean-energy transition is also an economic development strategy. The state set a goal of reaching 50% renewable electricity by 2030. In 2025, New Mexico surpassed that target five years early, with renewable energy accounting for 52% of electricity generation.

One year after Congressional Republicans passed the so-called “big beautiful bill,” New Mexico is still confronting the consequences of federal cuts that threaten health care coverage, food assistance and basic stability for working families.

Too many rural communities struggle to access healthcare close to home. That's why New Mexico expanded the nation's most generous state-funded physician loan repayment program. 1,200+ healthcare professionals have been supported and 96% stay in New Mexico.

Long before this became a headline, New Mexico was already taking action to combat the fentanyl crisis. We’ve invested in public safety, funded new law enforcement officers, expanded overdose prevention, opened new behavioral health facilities and continued demanding accountability.

This is what happens when college is within reach. Enrollment at New Mexico colleges and universities has increased by nearly 14% since 2021, and institutions have awarded nearly 200,000 degrees and credentials since 2019. More students. More opportunity. A stronger workforce.

New Mexico is ranked the most financially transparent state in the nation according to Truth in Accounting's 2026 Financial Transparency Score. This recognition reflects years of work to improve accountability, strengthen financial oversight and ensure taxpayer dollars are managed responsibly.

Juneteenth honors the end of slavery and the ongoing fight for justice. In New Mexico, we stand in solidarity as we continue working to ensure freedom truly rings for all.

New Mexico's future depends on how we manage our water. We've secured $163 million for the Eastern New Mexico Water Supply Project, invested $20 million to accelerate construction, protected 179 miles of rivers and streams, and supported clean water access for approximately 70,000 New Mexicans.

When federal health insurance subsidies expired, New Mexico acted. We invested nearly $40 million to fully replace those subsidies—the only state in the nation to do so. That decision is helping an estimated 27,000 New Mexicans keep coverage and expanding insurance to another 10,000 residents.
