Yeah these incidents are much too prevalent, and clearly showcase that these systems are being designed solely for surveillance and the watchdog state. Cops will continue to abuse their power and kill innocent people. We are running out of non-violent options.
I post a lot of stories about cops using Flock to stalk former or current partners, but don't forget that cops also use Flock to intimidate and harass people who try to hold them accountable.

Yes, but unfortunately, the media is not going to make that distinction. Which is how we got a media report talking about the sexual side Furry fandom, with video of someone dry humping a fursuiter in the hotel lobby to hammer that point home. The only saving grace was it was small local media.
It's less about pretending we're squeaky clean and more about being smart and not giving ammunition to tabloid media that's looking for something tittilating to shock people with. Yes, there's a sexual side---LIKE EVERY OTHER FANDOM OUT THERE. Also, water is wet. This isn't news.
