Byleth glanced down at herself, lips pursed. Was her outfit really so strange?

After a pointed comment from Seteth in their last staff meeting about professors dressing appropriately, she’d decided to try out some of the custom outfits Rhea had provided. Rather than her usual clothing, Byleth wore a set of loungewear similar to what some of the students were dressed in now. Instead of the bright house colours, hers was a soft grey embroidered with a pink design that mimicked her regular attire. A tight black underlayer peeked out on her thighs and chest, while the pink headband that came with her academy uniform kept the hair out of her eyes.

Personally, Byleth thought her new outfit was both cute and comfortable. Dimitri’s reaction made her less certain.

Then again, perhaps it was just the novelty of seeing her in something different, Byleth thought as she eyed his own modified uniform. Even in the midsummer heat, Dimitri was too proper for loungewear or even the summer version of the academy uniform. He had removed the armour and heavy outer layer of his top though, and rolled up the sleeves of his white undershirt to reveal sculpted forearms.

Byleth’s gaze lingered on his bare skin. The contrast between his exposed arms and the black gloves still covering his hands was certainly…intriguing.

Yes. His reaction did seem rather understandable after all.
