By the time I rolled credits on Big Walk, it had rooted itself so strongly in “I Gotta Write A Video About This” territory that I, well… I wrote a video about it AND spent 10 hours messing with a camera mod to do the game justice! youtu.be/cehbImIrNdg

Wanted to make a little thread sharing all of the art for my stream redesign! I got to work with a bunch of great artists - starting with @shanuraru.bsky.social who designed the outfit! Blending city pop, Y2K, space, video games and whatever else I threw at them...
what if you could talk about video games... LIVE? witness the future of entertainment on october 16th at 3pm PDT

here is a little song i made for the GMTK game jam! the game is about defending your PC from a silly virus so naturally i had to include both the dial-up sound and the circus clown motif
New year, new indie recommendations! Let’s ignore the fact that I’m uploading my second video of the year in July and instead focus on how good Slay the Spire 2 is. Look, the Defect’s in the thumbnail! And he’s holding the Claw! youtu.be/3verGE9sxUY

i entered an editing flow state by leaving the Jackenstein boss theme on loop for like an hour and am now imagining the concept of having him jump-scare my monitor if i tab out of my editing software for too long
i keep looking up the Denshattack composers list every couple weeks to show to other people and my jaw re-drops every time i see it
tried to look up the origin of the term "rips" in regards to describing music and got hit with the most useless AI response i've ever seen. did you just waste a bucket of water to pretend you know ball??
what kind of ancient magics did Jake Kaufman unearth within the game boy soundfont to make Mina the Hollower sound that good
I’ve decided that there simply aren’t enough video essays talking about the problems with video game remakes… guess it’s time to throw my completely original opinion into the sea of discourse! youtu.be/pNYu0DtOg2A

it's hard to choose my top 9 games because 9 is not a very big number
Mitch Cramer@heavyeyed.bsky.social · 8mo agobeen thinking about my top games a lot lately and this might be the closest to certain I've ever been about a top list
Are there any good examples of old games being ported / remastered alongside the release of a remake, or even being sold in a bundle for people who are interested in exploring the original? Maybe I'm just making this up in which case it's a pretty cool idea as opposed to nuking them from orbit
just finished Angeline Era and it was so good that i'm making a post to recommend it because i won't get to feature it in another indies video for at least a few months. it's got the childlike wonder. it's got the sauce. and the first boss is thirty-two fish which is maybe the funniest thing ever
Merry (early) Christmas! Your present this year is a fresh batch of indie game recommendations you NEED to try!... I know it’s not homemade cookies or anything, but it’s the best I could do over the internet. youtu.be/fb_uMKw7W8Q

mahjong and souls-like at opposite ends of the spider graph is very funny to me
i love that the one award Clair Obscur couldn't sweep was "most insane fans contest" against a gacha game
Unbeatable, Skate Story and Angeline Era all release within a few days of each other and you're telling me i have to EDIT ANOTHER VIDEO INSTEAD??? can we pause the video games please there are too many
after like two months of obsessing over every line of the script, i'm so glad that people are enjoying the Hades 2 video!! i've spent several hours replying to commenters about their thoughts on the story because they're well thought-out and kind and nuanced... and in 2025? online? incredible
Just when I thought writing about Hades 2 was gonna be easy, Supergiant decided to patch the ending. Which means the game technically has two endings now. So I spent two months making a 56 minute video about it! youtu.be/ZMNVWjilLFE
