Watching the new Caravan of Garbage and Mason points out that like Roger Ebert it is fun to have a big sook and say a movie everyone likes is terrible and he's so right but for me on da movies podcast I do I think I trend towards the other side and think a movie everyone hates is great.

Just learned the emergency procedure if your brakes and drag chute fail in the MiG-29 is to immediately retract your landing gear and belly slide it to a stop. If you really need extra braking you jettison the canopy. I love soviet aviation these guys were so slapdash at every turn.

Some friends are teaching their baby ASL as an early bridge to speech and they made the mistake of teaching her “want” as a concept. Now she wanders around the house signing “want” all the time as an expression of unfocused desire. They fucked up and made the baby invent the opposite of Buddhism.
Okay I might love the MiG-29a Fulcrum. This thing is raw manual flight. Kick it into a turn too hard and you are fighting it the whole way but the lack of fly by wire means you *can* fight it. From what I can tell it's all hydraulic damping for G limits so you can just ignore it if you pull hard.
