Are Republicans really going to run an election on calling Democrats Communists? Especially when Trump is the closest we've come to a Soviet style Communist regime in my lifetime. How does that even work? Do people under 40 even know what "Communism" was?

Everyone sees Sen. Jon Ossoff's viral clips and the slickly produced campaign speech videos, giving him Dem superstar status and igniting calls for him to run for president. But in the Senate, his persona is much different. This is how his Senate colleagues view him... puck.news/inside-jon-o...

The Accidental Senator

Jon Ossoff has seemingly reinvented himself as a ready-made 2028 presidential candidate, from his new suits and beefier physique to his studied, Obama-like cadence. Inside the Senate, however, colleag...

This made me chuckle as an on again off again cyclist. “In June, he biked dozens of miles across New Hampshire and held town halls in the early-voting state.” Cyclists bike dozens of miles in one ride. Commuters in a couple of days on their way to work. www.nytimes.com/2026/07/15/s...

New for @puck.news After the spectacular collapse of Graham Platner, progressives admit that it was a setback. Abdul El-Sayed is their next best hope to prove they can win in difficult places and to lay the groundwork for 2028. puck.news/after-platne...

Plat Earthers

After Graham Platner’s flame-out in Maine, Michigan’s Abdul El-Sayed is the progressive left’s best—and last—chance to prove they can win a Senate seat in a purple state.

who are the 5% on Kalshi who think Platner won't drop out? and will that number grow by the hour? day? longer he goes w/o dropping out, more he will likely think he can ride this out buoyed by establishment-out-to-get-him-b/c-he's-4-working-class bros. (To be clear. I DON'T support him at all)

Has any Maine jurisdiction opened an investigation into Platner? The allegations in Politico seem sufficient for that. Foremost this is a serious criminal allegation. Secondarily it is a political problem. Maybe Dems should call for an investigation AND for Platner to drop out.

It would be nice if we fixed our criminal justice system so women could feel comfortable reporting sexual assaults to the police instead of having to report them to journalists who can only report on the accusations but do nothing about potentially prosecuting them.

www.cnn.com/2026/06/29/p... Great features of the US executive branch are the INDEPENDENT regulatory agencies, one of which I ran. SCOTUS killed them. Nothing to protect people's health, safety, or finances is safe from Trump & this renegade court. Time for Dems to reform the court in 2026
