Happy Halloween! Everyone ready to be have the Skulltulas scare the pants off them in the Ocarina of Time remake?

A skulltula from the original Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time carved onto a pumpkin. There are no cut through areas, all the light comes through the two shaded areas. The skull shaped body is a darker level of shading with the spiderweb shaped background as a very thin level that lets a lot of light through, especially near the skulltula's face where the candles are shining through more than the rest. The eyes are all the same bright shading as the background. The thin legs are stretched out beyond the background boundary, where they switch to also being shaded. The top four legs stretch out much farther, where the bottom four are just the tips of the feet.

The original pattern was from the ThinkGeek blog in 2012, with the creator unknown. It originally called for the whole background to be cut out, but with how thin all the legs are as the only support for the large main body, it likely would have broken.

The same carved skulltula pumpkin, with the lights on outside as well as from within. The pumpkin has no lid; when they're completely shaded like this, putting the lid on will just seal off all the air and the candles will burn out. The background is a tan and teal scarf that I have decided I don't really like for pumpkin backdrops.

Happy Halloween from the coolest Mega Evolution! Chandelure remains the GOAT and one of my favorite pokemon to keep carving onto pumpkins!

A Mega Chandelure from Pokemon Legends ZA carved onto a pumpkin. The carving is elaborate, with all the twisting arms cut out and the flames shaded with a gradient to them. In addition, parts of the body have been painted with blank ink, with the golden parts left as the original pumpkin surface. The top flame and the four main candles are blowing to the right so that it would actually fit onto the pumpkin.

The same pumpkin, lit from the outside as well as from within. Here the black ink on the body as well as the gradient can be seen more clearly. The background is a blue and tan cloth.

It's not every worker who can tackle 3 King Salmonids at once. And here I thought you folks were spineless! Well, I guess you still technically are.

A pumpkin carving of the Triumvirate from Splatoon 3's Salmon Run, based on the icon of the three as seen in the smell meter. The design is almost entirely shaded, with only the eyes cut out. Each king has a different layer of shading, with Megalodontia on the bottom right the darkest, Horrorboros on the bottom left the brightest, and Cohozuna in between the two. Their hair fins and Horro's balloon are also on different layers. The eyes of all three glow brightly. Joe is also trying to eat the JO signature in the bottom right.

The same pumpkin, lit from the outside as well as the inside and zoomed out so the whole pumpkin is visible. There's also a tan and teal scarf as the background.

Joe wasn't out when I carved the rest of the Salmon Run pumpkins but he's here now!

A pumpkin carving of Megalodontia from Splatoon 3's Salmon Run, using various layers of shading on the gills, fins, teeth, mouth, weak spot, and pants. The braces and suspenders are painted with ink to be darker than the surface pumpkin. The eye and background are cut out completely.

The same pumpkin, but lit from the outside as well as the inside. It's also zoomed out so the entire pumpkin is visible, not just the carving. It's in front of a cloth backdrop that's half tan and half teal, with some random designs.

Seeing Amanda Seyfried doing that Elizabeth Holmes dance scene in The Dropout recently made me realize that she was not, in fact, dancing to Pony by Ginuwine like I remembered

PSA: The latest NVIDIA App update adds a Default-ON option that allows AI Agents to control the app... Might want to turn it off.. Even aside from being lame AI features, that feels like making security even worse by defaulting it ON.

Screenshot of the Nvidia app's "Settings > Features" section.
Showing the newly added "AI Agents and App Connections" section.
The option for "Allow Agents to control NVIDIA App" is enabled by default.
This happened in version 11.0.9.565

Pumpkins :)

The same jack-o-lantern, but lit up on the outside as well so that you can see how it awkwardly sits on a large pumpkin that is not the ideal shape for it. The face sits high, leaving a large chin looking space on the lower pumpkin. The background is a cloth with some random patterns, tan on the left and teal on the right.
