I've been working on a completely new outliner for beorg. It’s available as an experimental feature in 2026.8 (released today.) If you'd like to learn more about the new outliner, see what's changed, and find out how to enable it, head over to https://www.beorg.app/blog/beorg-2026.8/.

👋 Indie developer of iOS apps. beorg - task manager that works with plain text Org mode files Go Calc - business calculator builder Markdown Tables - create and edit Markdown tables (I also provide mobile and web app dev services)
beorg 2026.7 is now available. The update improves support for habits with minimum/maximum repeat ranges. Scheduling/overdue calculations are more like Org mode. It also fixes agenda-file?/tasks-file? filters not being applied consistently. App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/beorg/id1238649962
I’ve been fixing some beorg bugs this afternoon. In the next update habit min/max ranges will be respected when the date is advanced, and considered overdue only once the max range is exceeded. Plus more fixes for agenda-file?/tasks-file? functions. 👍 to those users who reported these!
New in Memstone: Share Extension 🎉 Found a great album in Apple Music? A funny YouTube video? An unexpected website? Tap Share and send it directly to Memstone - making it even faster to capture the things you read, watch and listen to. https://memstone.app/blog/memstone-share-extension/
The beorg subreddit is now public. I promise 🤝 to check this regularly, and would love to see discussions on all things beorg start up again. https://www.reddit.com/r/beorg
6-ish years ago someone setup a private beorg subreddit and made me a moderator. I never did anything with it 🫣. I’ve applied to make this public, and hope to get it up and running as a place for discussions about beorg ASAP 💬.
beorg 2026.6 is out today! Check out https://www.beorgapp.com/blog/beorg-2026.6/ if you want to see what’s changed.
There’s a beorg update coming soon to fix an issue where sync isn’t being triggered when you switch back to beorg (for example after using the share extension), and another issue related to WebDAV. This update also continues the updates I’m making to help future-proof the app.
One of the nice things about beorg is that your tasks, projects and notes are stored as plain text, and you can choose your cloud storage provider. Don’t like the big providers? Many smaller services support WebDAV. I’ve been trying out Koofr: https://www.beorg.app/blog/cloud-sync-webdav/
With Memstone on Apple Watch, logging everyday activities is as quick as a tap. Build a record of your life without journaling, then instantly see how long ago you did something or how often you do it. Watch it in action: https://youtube.com/shorts/Y1kcndnY08M #AppleWatch #Productivity #Memstone
beorg 3.39.3 may only be a point-of-a-point release, but hopefully it will have a bigger impact than that suggests — particularly if you sync with Dropbox, where sync can now be up to twice as fast. 🚀 Read more: https://www.beorgapp.com/blog/beorg-3.39.3/ http://itunes.apple.com/app/id1238649962
A Memstone app update is out today. You can now change the order of fields in an activity type by simply dragging them to reorder. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/memstone/id6769803107
I think I’ve enjoyed using Final Cut Pro to make an app preview video for the App Store, and my new app Memstone. Whether I’ll keep Apple Creator Studio going beyond the 1 month trial is still an open question (as it would be yet another subscription…)
This afternoon I logged a game of #StarTrek #LowerDecks Buffer Time from my Apple Watch in under 10 secs. I didn’t need to pull out my phone. I captured the moment and added the details later. That’s why I built Memstone: to make logging light. https://memstone.app/blog/make-logging-feel-light/

I always appreciate those of you who take the time to write reviews on the App Store (even if not quite as positive as this one!) ☺️
One of my goals with Memstone was making logging so quick that you’ll actually do it. https://youtube.com/shorts/GCTlJs-CrOc The result: a personal history of everyday life that’s actually useful. Join the TestFlight beta: https://memstone.app #IndieDev

beorg tip: When using the new search syntax, files are matched by their TITLE keyword (if it exists) rather than their filename. “/file:notes” would match a file with the filename example.org if it had “#+title: notes” in its contents.
I suspect many people use far too many productivity apps. One thing I like about Org mode in beorg is that tasks, notes, plans and reference material can all just live together in normal text files. Less shuffling information between systems. #OrgMode http://itunes.apple.com/app/id1238649962
A nice thing about #OrgMode files is that they age quite well. Notes written years ago are still just #PlainText files I can open anywhere. No export step required, no discontinued service to worry about. beorg works with the same approach on iOS. http://itunes.apple.com/app/id1238649962
If you haven't tried the new search syntax in beorg yet, check out my latest blog post on how I'm using it: https://www.beorg.app/blog/beorg-search-examples/. http://itunes.apple.com/app/id1238649962
If you miss the old beorg forum, you can find a read-only archive at https://www.beorg.app/beorg-forum/. All usernames have been converted into ‘fun’ (?) aliases 🧐. I’m hope this gets picked up by search engines and helps you learn more about beorg.
I have just resolved an issue which was slowing down beorg sync somewhat. An update for this should be with you via the App Store in a few days.
I’ve just published an update to the beorg user guide. It is no longer one long page, and most of the screenshots have been refreshed. https://www.beorg.app/manual/
I recently vibed 2 apps to help update the beorg manual. 1) Monitors a folder for new screenshots from the iPhone simulator, prompts me for a name, moves it into a designated folder, and pops a Markdown link to the clipboard. 2) Bulk crops screenshots. I’m 😨 😲 🫨 how quickly they were AI coded.
