[plays more Trails FC Remake] Okay I know this is the first game but how many games in do we find out that orbments/quartz are made out of like, ground-up baby bones or something

If I see one more ad for an AI service to help you prevent AI-generated text from sounding like AI, I’m going to blow up the fucking Earth. If they keep using the phrase “maintain your authentic voice” in the process I’m taking out the goddamned Moon too.

Fire Emblem girlies: what do the various weapon/magic skill icon COLORS mean. To me it seems like icons can be gold, grey, and blue (very pale blue). Am I right in guessing this is about innate talent and Gold = talented Grey = neutral Blue = weakness ?

I have gone to dive back into Fortune's Wig like 4 times today and each time I changed my mind and turned it off and I am trying to figure out why. Like, the game is fine.

Thanks to everyone who provided examples. I wanna explain why I needed them. Today was faculty colloquium, and I wanted to do a little interactive activity related to work I'm doing on how we operationalize(*) fatness in game chars (* fancy academic word meaning "define for research purposes")

REPLY WITH A CHARACTER IN VIDEO GAMES THAT YOU THINK IS FAT. Do not worry about if others would agree. Just give me your video game fat characters. FAMOUS GAMES FRIENDS WHO FOLLOW ME: this is for work so RTs are greatly appreciated thank you!

These two files have sat on my desktop since June and they just sit there, every day, taunting me. "It'd be so easy to release us!" they say. "You just have to not suck as a vocalist and overcome all of your internalized shame and doubt and self-hatred. Easy!"

Two files -- an mp3 and a txt -- on a Windows desktop. They are both called "Month of Sundays"

God, the "Bashir was actually developmentally disabled but we fixed it with illegal gene therapy and that's why we have multiple episodes with the most offensive autism spectrum analogies imaginable" might be my LEAST favorite bit of what is otherwise an all-time favorite Trek show

Groaning because 1.) the base audio mix in Fortune's Weave is way off; voices are often hard to hear over background music and 2.) ANY scene with a villain has BGM that is basically an undifferentiated, atonal melange of high-pitched voices going "aaaaah"

Gonna try to say what I feel re: SNW this week without spoiling This whole season has been -- Pretty satisfying dialogue writing, all told -- Some interesting character beats -- ABSOLUTELY BATSHIT premises for every episode -- Obsessed with doing character development through metaphor

Only played a little of Fortune's Lacefront -- the prologue and one map of Leda's story -- but I am entertained at all the nods to other FEs in it. Sirocco is an obvious nod to Lewyn (and Ced by extension) and the 'dungeon' stuff is taken right out of Shadows of Valentia, which is surprising

[deep breath] Trails people. Okay. In 1st Ch I had a near-game-start sidequest hunt monster fight that was challenging but not extreme, managed to kill it... and it promptly blew up, with no warning it might do so, for more damage than either of my chars has max HP. This gonna keep happening?
