I got a lot of painting done this week / weekend. Still have a couple more coats to go on the jet pack before going back and cleaning all my whites up.

After having all the pieces sit around as weird colors of foam for a few months, it feels so good to get to start to see what the final things are going to look like. Shit ton more work to do, but the base ideas are now visible

Turns out Easter eggs are a really good shape for nose cones. Good seasonal timing for this project! It is such a love/hate with this jetpack. Frustrating the crap out of me, but progress keeps making it look just good enough to keep going on.

I am betrayed! Dad brought me to this weird little cold room and they shoved something up my butt and shined bright lights in my mouth and ears and then they gave me shots! It’s been the worst afternoon! But the nice ladies gave me lots of treats and called me cute. Annual wellness checkup ✅
Finished my blaster! Really happy with how the weathering came out. It’s all glued up so nothing moves, but I’m still very happy with how it looks!
Got the paint to mostly where I want it and the first layer of sealer over it. Need to dirty it up a bit and do some damage. Then a few more layers of sealer and it’ll be ready to be put back together
Cosplay update: picked up a blaster, because while he may be a Jedi, he’s also a mandalorian and so a blaster is needed! Going to repaint it silver and black to match the lightsaber. Yeah….. the guts of this thing are NEVER all going back in there functionally >_<
Forgot to post these when I finished it. Got a new map drawn up for a friend’s DnD world. The new campaign is going well and I needed something arts and crafts to do for a bit!

I’m at the “it looks like garbage and I hate it” phase of the project…. So yeah, that means it’s going “ok”. At the very least it’s starting to look like a jet pack…. Paint is going to have to do a lot of heavy lifting….
