JKR explicitly said she considers anything Potter-related, even fan-made, endorsement of her politics. And every time you engage with this franchise, you signal to the industry that there's still money in it and they should keep pumping out content from full-cast audiobooks to book box partnerships.

I think why I find bigotry so frustrating is because- well, I'm a former bigot. I was raised as a Christian, and I didn't question things until high school. It took years for me to accept my bisexuality; this stuff takes time to unlearn, but it can be done. Some people don't want to be better

my most controversial opinion is that we NEED to be more open to people leaving MAGA/the right and welcoming them into the resistance. it doesn't mean you have to like or forgive them. but we NEED people to wake up and fight back. we need people on OUR side, not his.

but yeah i don't care if they voted for him once, twice, or thrice. if they've woken up in earnest i want them on MY side. i probably won't be their friend or anything unless i really can tell they regret their old ways, but i want more people on our side.
