Obviously a disappointing result, but huge mention for Kian Hire. 20 years old, on debut, and more than held his own against two props with 150+ professional appearances under their belts. Outstanding start for a young tighthead, hopefully we see much more next season.

Our season summed up perfectly in one game. Start poorly but just about stay in it, somehow get back into a really good position with some really good play, then slip up majorly right at the end and miss out.

Crazy that the Wales squad for this summer would normally be named in three weeks’ time but we don’t even have a coach to pick it yet.

For context, the last time this happened was Round 17 of the Pro12 in 2014/15 Where the Welsh teams beat all 4 Irish teams.

For the first time in over 10 years, all four Irish provinces have lost in the same weekend. 3 of the Welsh sides won. Nature is healing.
