I welcome this Labour Government’s landmark agreement with the EU and our commitment to deliver a new youth mobility deal 🇬🇧 🇪🇺 After years of closed doors under the Conservatives, we're opening them up — creating opportunities for young people to live, work and learn across Europe once again.

It was a real pleasure to welcome students from my old school Richard Hale School to Parliament as their MP this morning. Great to sit down and share my journey into politics with them, and answer their questions.

Great to sit down with George Ezra in Hertford this week to chat about his exciting new project, Hertford Quarter, and all the positive things happening in our town! Fantastic to hear how he wants to shine a light on the many extraordinary people in our community.

Promise made, promise kept ✅ You voted for 2 million extra NHS appointments within a year and this Labour government has delivered that first step 7 months early. There’s more to do and we’re getting on with the job of rebuilding our NHS.

At this morning's Transport Questions in the House of Commons, I raised Network Rail's continued delays to the Platform 1 lift at Hertford North. I'm pleased that the Minister agreed to meet with me to discuss how we can push this project forward.

I’ve raised the continued delays to the promised lift at Hertford North in a joint letter to Network Rail with Hertford’s county councillors. We’ve requested an urgent update and a meeting to address the impact on our community. I’ll keep residents updated as we push for progress.

This Holocaust Memorial Day, we mark the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau. On this solemn anniversary, we reflect on the horrors of the Holocaust and the devastation that hatred, bigotry and prejudice can lead to. 1/3

Yesterday, I met Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson MP to discuss Labour’s mission to break barriers to opportunity for every child. In Hertford and Stortford, I’m working with schools, nurseries, and colleges to deliver the Plan for Change, ensuring every child gets the best start in life.

Following my letter to Govia Thameslink raising concerns on behalf of constituents last month, I'm pleased to see that improved signage has been introduced at Hertford North train station, clearly indicating that contactless payments are not valid on journeys north of Hertford.
