I’m at the pre show launch by Stellantis, Paris motor show. The 2CV is clearly the star of the event, but this Alpha Romeo Cuorerosso isn’t scruffy.
Very difficult to get near the 2CV. Clearly very popular
Some of you will have seen the new Citroen 2CV already. I’m at the launch and I think it looks great. Smaller, lighter, electric and really not expensive
It's quite simple, when the weather is like this, it just means we burn way less expensive, imported gas to keep the lights on. One day it will also mean our electricity is MUCH cheaper #breakthelink
Just posted a fluffy, apolitical post from a pre internet/social media/AI era where, no wait, not everything was better. In fact it was mostly rubbish, but I had a funny dog. llewellyn.substack.com/p/ruffage?r=...

I could not believe whay I saw. This film is truly extraordinary. No AI, okay, my voice is in it for about 15 seconds but don’t let that put you off. If you get a chance to see it, grab it with both hands.
🇪🇸 ESPAÑA! 🇪🇸 Way back when, SITGES was one of the first places to give our indie British sci-fi film MOON a chance on the International stage & Im delighted to say ROGUE TROOPER will be there NEXT WEEK! We love you, we love SITGES and we are coming BACK! 💪🏼❤️✌🏼 sitgesfilmfestival.com/en/film/2026...
I just thought I'd say hi as I'm passing. For someone who is four 4 years beyond current retirement age, and I'm not complaining, but I have never, in 70 years, been this busy. I like it, but even among all the frantic activity, I go out and look at the sky. It's worth doing if you can.
I met Jeffrey Archer once. We had the same literary agent. He was terrifying. If we really are ruled by lizard overlords, he was definitely one of them.
I will be at Caper books in Oxford this evening talking Red Dwarf, Scrapheap, Everything Electric and most importantly books. Do come along if you're in the Oxford area. checkout.square.site/merchant/ML2...

For the first 5 years of Fully Charged Show (Everything Electric) a common YouTube comment was 'Battery electric is dud, the future is hydrogen.' I never hear that now. To understand why, listen to Prof Helen Czerski in discussion with the amazing Michael Liebreich www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZY2q...

Why is it possible to pay around 14p per kWh for electricity from a very rapid charger in France when we pay between 60 to 95p in the UK? Asking for a friend
French supermarket E.Leclerc has lowered the price of its EV charging network to just 0.17 €/kWh. This is lower than some residential electricity prices, especially when you consider the cost of a home charging point. Unfortunately not (yet?) available adhoc / in roaming. www.charge-elec.leclerc
I recently drove a PeeHEV. WTF! I did a little scrawl about it here. llewellyn.substack.com/p/peehev?r=o...

Just been sent a total pro fossil fuel non story from the ABC in Australia. Saying you should keep your car fuelled during bush fire season so you can get away. Fair enough. Then there's a picture of a hybrid petrol car with some fire damage . . from a bush fire . . which they describe as 'an EV'
I wrote a little thought piece about one of my teaspoons. It led down a very deep hole where we dig up iron ore. llewellyn.substack.com/p/dug-up-or-...

After the electric Ferrari Luce, comes the Bentley Torcal. Built in the UK, from the ground up as a 100% electric luxury SUV. OK, I know we need smaller, lighter, cheaper cars, but every now and then something a bit spesh turns up. And this is proper spesh. youtu.be/yPaiXXcBzrc
Instant Classic? Is Britain's Bentley Torcal a brilliant battery EV... or not?

I’m currently driving the BYD Seal 6 touring DMI. It’s a plug in hybrid which, I’ve discovered can only charge at 7 kW. However when I started this trip, it had 720 miles range. But I’ve had to buy petrol for the first time in 12 years. #shock. On Everything Electric soon.
Everything we use is dug up or grown. In this fascinating and optimistic podcast I learn how one company, Fortescue, is digging up gigatons of iron ore and will soon do so without burning any fossil fuel. Deffo worth a listen. www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvKc...

10 years ago electric vans were, well, a bit embarrassing. Too expensive, not much range. Now, only a fool would buy a new diesel van. (In case you don't know, a 'tradie' is the Australian for white van person, because anyone can drive a white van yeah.) #woke 😜 youtu.be/4_hntrkW9MM
Has Hyundai 'nailed it' with Staria? The multi-purpose EV that meets tradies' standards?

Something not created by AI, a short, relaxing moment of rain in woodland. That's it, no drones, zombies, or political point scoring. Just rain falling on leaves.
There are a great many new, smaller, cheaper electric cars being launched this year. This is a highlight. The MG4 Urban. Freshly presented to you from Sydney Australia by the delightful Elliot Richards youtu.be/76l_zJsFj5U

VW are under a lot of pressure, but they have not been sitting around whining. They have pulled out the stops to make a better, smaller, VW Polo. I went for a drive in it. youtu.be/Zq5-mwvhRLw

This might be a very popular car. Whatever it is, it's a very important car. The Audi A2 is back, it's a bit bigger but it's 100% electric youtu.be/n6JjOnVUfTE
