City staff has informed us that they're about a week into the road resurfacing project that includes Canyon Drive, Latimer Avenue & Early Avenue. The roads will remain open to traffic, and the work is expected to be completed by fall 2026.

We couldn’t have asked for a nicer night for the third show of the Concerts in the Park series on Thursday in Fitzroy Harbour. A really good turnout, some great music by Jamie McMunn and Family Tradition, and another great BBQ by our local Scouts. Ambush is up next for this Thursday's finale.

On Saturday, I stopped in at Port of Call Marina to join in celebrating their 60th anniversary. Congratulations to Mark Baskin, the Baskin family, and those who have worked hard to help keep the operation running for 60 years.

A couple of other road updates. Resurfacing is underway this week along McGee Side Road and, starting next week, along Rochon Way, from Dunrobin Rd. to O' Hara. The roads will remain open to traffic and completion is anticipated by fall 2026.

Thursday night was a perfect summer evening for another of the Concerts in the Park shows at Fitzroy Provincial Park. I was pleased to say a few words of thanks before Big Newton put on a great show for everyone.
