Founded by John Frost in 1821, the Medico-Botanical Society of London existed until 1849. This signature book, contains twenty-six pages of signatures. Among them are dignitaries such as Queen Victoria, King William IV, and European royalty. It also features two watercolours by an unknown artist.

If you are visiting the Natural History Museum, here is an extra reason to visit the Treasures Gallery. On display until early June is the latest hand-coloured engraved plate from our copy of John James Audubon's 'The Birds of America' (1827-1838). Plate 192 Great Grey Shrike, or Butcher Bird.
