If you joined our TestFlight, update to the latest version, we fixed a few things ✨

excuse me, my name is jake and have you heard of Pixelfed or Loops? They are like Instagram and TikTok without fascism and federated. Instead of Instagram: https://pixelfed.org Instead of TikTok: https://joinloops.org You can host your own, spread the woof.

steve lacy, don toliver and drake are vibes. like we don't need stella thefty or artists that submit songs to the grammys.

You need to be loud. You need to be bold. Know any other project or person making video commercials for their fediverse app? This is how we grow and evolve. And maybe get back on Forbes again 😎 […]

New era. New app. :pixelfed: 🚀

New era. New app. :pixelfed: 🚀

A new app for a new era :pixelfed: #pixelfed #comeOn

I'm aware of a performance issue (when scrolling feeds) in the latest Pixelfed app build and am working on a fix! We're back to 60fps on the UI thread 🔥 The culprit was due to a recent change to render full size original image media. #pixelfed #pixeldev

We're all "happy" for the pending curl release...

Happy Ada Lovelace Day! "Babbage saw the analytical engine as a mathematical device. After all, it primarily stored and operated on numbers. But Lovelace recognized that a machine designed to crunch numbers could do much more if the numbers represented other things." […]

What I started with vs What I submitted to the App Store. Thanks for the feedback, can't wait for this to go live on the App Store 🚀 #pixelfed #appStore #pixelfedApp

We are dropping support for PHP 8.3, and our next version will require 8.4 or greater! Admins, please make sure you update your PHP version before the next release if you are still on 8.3. #pixelfed #PSA

this is the real boss of Pixelfed btw

period dot. I'd rather build ethical monetization (with in-app purchases or subs, not ads or data selling) into Pixelfed than sell out and watch the best Instagram alternative go to waste. Anything is possible when you build ethically, and people first 🚀 #pixelfed

I still get a few offers to sell Pixelfed every month. We're not for sale. 💅 #pixelfed #notForSale

Thank you for your feedback! We have chosen the second photo. Before vs After #pixelfed #pixelfedApp #marketing

Thank god for figma community templates, designing these marketing materials that meet the exact dimension requirements from Apple and Google are tricky, but it's a lot easier with a template like this. #pixelfed

App Review has rejected the new Pixelfed app two more times, once because of a login issue and the most recent, because we need to add an Account Delete button. While I have that all fixed and ready to re-submit, I am now working on designing a new set of App Store images because the current […]

For people in search of an introduction to the Fediverse, I love @MishaVelthuis 's "landing post for people curious about the Fediverse" Ofc with great video's by @_elena and @tilvids with practical tips and a good framing of "tech is political" […]

Over 360 people have viewed my Pixelfed Story! #pixelfed #stories

Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃

I know I let our Pixelfed community down by focusing so intensely on Loops from August 2025 to 2026. I said I would come back to Pixelfed after FediCon, and finally launch the new mobile app and webUI redesign. 11 backend releases later, Pixelfed has caught up with several backend bug fixes […]

The new Pixelfed mobile app is about 42K lines of code, mostly typescript 😎 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94UmYrW5oto

Pixelfed server is about 326K lines of code! That excludes node_modules,vendor and storage dirs. #pixelfed #pixeldev

@mczachurski are you on discord? We should chat, would love to discuss closer interop between our projects ❤️

Pixelfed for iOS is still in the App Review process (we pulled our submission so we can ship a bunch of improvements) That being said, if you want to try the new Pixelfed for iOS app out now, join the TestFlight! https://testflight.apple.com/join/E5XX131S
