Telling, that is, in that it shows how financial capitalism and patriarchy work together to dissuade men from doing "unprofitable" labor, like the work of care.
One thing I ALWAYS forget, after all these years, is how much I love the subway on a Saturday night.
BTW, this is how I learned to stop being so cute with my Experiences & just SAY THE THING. Started her with "Have You Tried Turning It Off & On Again." Changed it to "Kohd MacGuyver." Landed on "Machine Whisperer." Now I wish it were just "Mechanic" but my GM's already been more than accomodating.

I can't reply to this lovely person who quote-posted me, but I'd actually been thinking of the time I begged an AP producer *not* to register as a nonprofit. 501c3 is a tax status that comes with a significant reporting burden; if you're not looking for grants or major donors, think thrice!
Dr. Emily Friedman@ecfriedman.com · 2w agoIt says something that I got a long way into the Actual Play book before I realized that the word I was looking for to describe a nontrivial number of APs was “nonprofit” Which says something about the connotations of the term, & also the relationship of the scene (in different ways) to capital.

We didn't send in any CRiT Award acceptance videos like we were supposed to, because I *truly* didn't think we could win anything. But here's what I told my Facebook friends back when we were nominated.
